Economic Opportunity

First, to make social security more efficient, we remove income assistance, disability payments, and Medicare from Social Security, though the programs themselves are not eliminated.  Second, the social security will continue to function AS IS for every individual 50 years of age or older.

For all individuals below the age of 50, a new program, Complementary Individual Retirement Accounts (CIRA), will replace social security.  The program will guarantee minimum payments similar to social security but allow for greater payout as the program relies on investment strategies.  Instead of being a drain on taxpayers and the national government, CIRA will grow the economy by decreasing federal spending around 2035, injecting 10 trillion into the economy by 2037 and requiring ZERO federal funding by 2070.
